Offshore Energy: These Countries Make up 80% of all Production
Energy is one of the most important thing in our society today. For the most part we look two finite resources such as fossil fuels oil and gas. However, there's been a massive shift in regards to where we get our energy from and this has led too many countries going to more sustainable sources of energy which include solar energy hydroelectric and offshore wind energy. Currently offshore wind energy is the world most under used resource with less than one-tenth of wind-power based offshore. However this trend is Shifting with wind Energy expected to become a more prominent source of energy in our society by 2030. With this in mind there are three major countries they're leading the way. Or 80% of total offshore energy is through three main countries from China Germany and the United Kingdom with only 18% being throughout the rest of the world. UK itself leads the world in offshore energy making up a total of 34 per cent of all energy produced through offshore wind energy. The country is currently sighting that by 2030 offshore winter and you provide one-third of the country's total energy mix and creating an estimated 27000 new jobs within the industry alone.
The second country Germany, is actually relatively new to Offshore wind energy compared to the other two countries however it's offshore plants take Prime advantage of the location of the country with installing 136 new wind turbines within the last year alone. This accounts for a total 28% of all offshore installations surpassing that of Denmark. One of the major elements of why Germany has expanded is due to the cost of offshore generation going down within the past few years so much so that the entire energy Market within Germany has expanded drastically.
The final country China, is in a position to become the main Powerhouse for offshore energy within the World. In fact, this is estimated to occur by 2025. China itself is a mixed bag when it comes to energy using everything from everything from nuclear energy, the oil and gas to renewable energy sources such as solar energy and hydroelectric dams. 1 reasons why China is expanding as such a large rate is due to the fact that within the past year alone the country's population expanded at such a rate that an increase of 3.5% in energy consumption occur this account for one-third of the total Global demand from a growth rate perspective. In response China's expanding all elements of energy production including offshore wind energy as it has some of the biggest potential for expansion within all energy sources. The next decade is going to be very interesting to see how increased need for energy, usher's in a new era for energy production throughout all countries in the world. Thereby influencing our society as a whole.
